What do you supply on the boats?

We supply all Bedding, Tea Towels, Oven Gloves, Shower Mats, Shower Curtains, Washing up liquid, J Cloths, Scourers, Camping Chairs, 12v Hair Dryer, Pearsons Canal Guide, Waterproofs and of course all Gas and Diesel. The only thing you should need is your personal towels and some food and drink.

Where can I stay before starting my holiday?

Contact Mrs Nicky Stokes or visit Mereside Farm website for bed and breakfast accommodation.

Do you allow pets?

1 Pet is allowed on our boats at no extra charge, for a second pet there is a fee of 15.00; however we ask that they are on a lead at all times while at our base and kept off any seating and bedding.

What about insurance?

We advise that all hirers take out their own travel/ holiday insurance prior to arriving.

Are there any hidden costs?

A refundable deposit of 50.00 will be payable and is to be added to the 25% deposit. When you return from your holiday you will be refunded this deposit by cheque on condition no loss or damage has taken place. Your liability is limited to this, provided that any damage to the boat or its equipment, or other boat structures and waterway, is not proved to be intentional or malicious. We accept payment via paypal.

If I am a novice will I be given full instruction?

We welcome the opportunity to introduce newcomers to canal holidays and you will be given full instructions on the boat systems and handling when you arrive.

Can I leave my car?

Parking at the base is provided free of charge.

Can I get some shopping whilst on the boat?

Yes, there is the excellent market town of Ellesmere just two hours cruising away with a good range of shops and a new Tesco store has opened alongside the canal.
Do your have any bicycles for hire?

Yes. They are available for 30 per bicycle, per week.
